I have finally gotten information re: the Global One phone card. They are, BTW, no longer affiliated with Sprint, this is a recent development which explains the outdated number on the Frequenta web site. The correct number is: 1.888.217.4953 (from 0900-2300 GMT weekdays and shorter hours on Sat.). I signed both my husband and I up for calling cards. The rates for calls are not all that good, but I think we can spring for the $.45/min at least once http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Before you call them you will first need to get your Frequenta membership number from: 1.800.531.7901, which is the member services number for Frequenta. Global One is a UK company and the rep explained that it could take a month before the calling cards are received.

Hey great work on the calling card. We all should lock in that 20,000 points now without spending money on stuff other than one fast call! I am in the UK - did they mention whether this only is applicable to North American residents?

In a few weeks I will fly with LH to PHL. One of the flights either to or from FRA might be a SK codeshare with LH. All will be booked on the LH flightnumber, will I still get the double points on the whole trip or just from Fra to Phl?

Kempis .. great question! They BOTH are Star * members, so my take is you will be OK IF you put your Frecuenta number into the booking for BOTH flights and double check it is in on your boarding passes. It is a "round trip on Star" after all! Maybe email them and ask, and retain the email reply?

Kempis .. if you are in Sweden, this promo must be OK for others apeart from US residents I guess? Don't want to spent 15 mins and find it is Americans only!

Think I have found a way to get the additional 375 miles needed for the 5000 miles transfer to HHonors. http://www.mexicana.com.mx/mx2/engli...mashoteles.asp
A minimum of 625 miles per stay in all Hilton and Conrad International hotels worldwide on paying published rates.
Just so happens I'll be spending 3 nights at a Hilton next week. Trouble is, I don't have my Frecuenta member #. Vindesante posted a toll free # (thank you) for customer service. I'll give them a call Monday to see if they will give me our member numbers by phone or email. Has anyone gotten their member # by this route?
The hotel room is in my name and my husbands', do you think the nice desk clerk will give us both credit for the stay? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
If that fails, guess I'll get the calling card (4000 miles with that option) or send myself some flowers.

anz5708 I did in fact get our Frequnta numbers from the customer service rep at the number I posted above. I called 1 day after signing my husband and I up.

The double Mexicana miles are open for every new member no matter where they are residens(atleast I think so) I still dont know about the phone card deal but I will call Frequenta in Sweden(why do Frequenta have an office in Sweden?) tomorrow and ask them

I called the CS number today and they indicated you cannot transfer miles the sign up bonus miles.....Anyone had luck actually transferring the bonus sign up or calling card miles?

lonman Oct 19, 2000 10:40 am

i never got an email with a membership number from frecuenta!!

Don't expect anything from Frecuenta anytime soon. Their system for mailing out welcoming packs is slooooooow. I still have not gotten mine from signing up almost 2 months ago.

If you want your Frecuenta # and PIN, just call Mexicana and they will give it to you!

Hi all

I had 4625 miles in Frequenta lying around doing nothing. After reading this thread I emailed Mexican and asked them to transfer 3155 miles. Here's their reply...

> Thank you for your e-mail. The request to transfer 5,000 kilometers from
> each Frecuenta account to 10,000 Hilton Honors points (each account) has
> been requested. Please allow up to one week for the points to show in
> your Hilton account.
>
> Thank you,
>
> James-Anthony Trevino
> Mexicana Airlines
> Frecuenta Dept USA

My wife and I have both requested transfers so including the 2,000 points we each accrued from changing our profiles we will have accured a total of 24,000 points!

Thansk Ozstamps and all others who contributed. Next I might try and transfer my 5,000 orphan Delta miles.

Arriba Arriba Arriba!!

cheers Peter

FFHOUND .. great to see hanging in there and being patient paid off. I never had any doubts they'd come good in the end, and reading some of the posts is now pretty interesting!

Do I need to be a US resident to be involved in this?
