Start us off with one!!!!

Catman Dec 4, 1998 6:57 pm

Folks, can we get off this topic please. I am not offended BUT I think we should keep this a "G" rated forum )and not dissend into some very horrible Adam Sandler movie. 20 million for him?? I can write better movies intoxicated and medicated!)

Anyway... JimBoLIGUy... I would write the airline to complain but as Aubie and others said, if you did not complain immediately then you may not get anything more than a form letter thanking you for your comments.

If it was me I would quietly wave a F-A over and said I am whole heartedly offended and
I should not have to be subjected to this show when I'm paying hundreds on an airline ticket. Some people just don't have lives!

Somewhat OMNI: there's a book about the going's on on the late, MGM grand air. I have not seen the book, seen excerpts but it shows
money does not equate class. If anyone gets the title, let us know. I want to get book to have a good laugh! CATMAN

Oh my -- I WANT that book. Flew MGM Grand on three trips -- absolutely MUST make sure I'm not in it!

Talk about the grand old days (daze?) of air travel (grand pun intended) --

There was simply nothing better...

Dinner on me if someone can find the book for me (at the Party in Paradise -- Hy's Steakhouse)...

Alright y'all. This is a very good topic and what it's turning out to be is a joke thread. If you want to do jokes, then create an OMNI Thread for joke posts. I'm very sure Ol' Jimbo is very serious and is asking all of us what we think. Let's just put our intelligent thoughts to it!!!!

Hi all

Actually I think this is a worthwhile subject to discuss although I think that saying nothing was probably the wrong approach.

What you could have done is used a little sarcasm.

You could have said 'Excuse me but are you trying to become the first solo member of the mile high club?'

or

'Excuse me, if you require any assistance please don't hesitate to call a flight attendant'.

or

'You sure have a nasty itch down there. Why don't you ask the flight attendant for some ointment?'

hehehehehehe

cheers Peter

Too funny, Peter!
I think that behavior is totally inappropriate, and I can understand why someone would not want to say something while it was occurring. In fact, you would probably be too shocked to even comment. However, it is not the airline's fault that this man chose to do this while in public.
It does arise concerns about those blankets. I have always wondered about those, and I bring a coat so I dont have to use them. Word up on the blankets----only use them when they come directly out of the plastic bag.

Jaws43 is right. This is an issue (someone
making a flight uncomfortable) but we are making jokes about it. So I ask that we end
the thread here.

If you want jokes on this... please mail them
to each other. We have more interesting and
G-rated things to talk about.

Again, let's keep this thread G-Rated. Thank you. CATMAN

OMNI posting...Onefreeman... I found the book and e-mailed you details on how to get it.

Anyone else interested e-mail me. CATMAN

But, Ricechex, how do you know they didn't just pick up those blankets from the seats, fold them, and put them in plastic bags?

philforest Dec 5, 1998 9:16 am

I agree that it's time to cut this off.
