How many FF are there ?

I'm just reading the numbers of registered users on these forums. More than 30,000. And there is currently a ratio of 4 guests for 1 reg. user. Being totally unscientific, we could conclude that the audience of this forum is 120,000. How much is it, compared to the number of members of frequent flyers members ?

Are airlines communicating on the number of FFP members they have ? How many top-tiers do they have (I am impressed by some profiles here, which boast elite membership for more program than I can count :)

The large airlines generally report in excess of 20,000,000 members each. Of course, many flyers are members of more than one program. The airlines will not report the number of elites (very frequent flyers) for "competitive" reasons. Estimates are that each major airline has about 40,000 - 50,000 highest-level members. As you can tell from FT, a number of our active members are top-level in more than one program! Although your post does have a Community aspect to it, I believe you'd get more of a response if this were in our MilesBuzz forum and I'll move it there for further discussion. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator.
