This is VERY unfortunate - and avoidable.

May I suggest that we ALL ignore the remarks of those that we do NOT like! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

BB- Let's be sure to be "civil" even if we do not care for some elses remarks- or even the person! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

FQTV- I thought that email was personal and private! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

What can be gained by this ? For anyone?

NOTHING!!!

FWIW, IMHO, dhake and make up and move on ahead - or just simply move on ahead! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Wow, and I thought I was the only one here to get "interesting" stuff incoming! Mine has died down quite a bit lately so sharing yours would be instructive .. c'mon FQTV .. spill the beans. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Doc has given a hint with "BB" it looks like.

FQTV Oct 8, 2000 6:34 am

I originally thought a "for the record" would be good, but I have been advised by "the authorities" to not do so, and for good reason.

Sorry I can't share further, and to have rained on the parade.

FQTV - Wow you MUST be rattled by it all .. you just posted for some reason the exact same, word perfect message as typed above TWICE on this very ancient UA thread at 6.31 am:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum50/HTML/002163.html

(Edit - altho now you have gone back and deleted those messages too! The mystery deepens.)

Well, for some FTer's it seems it's:

God > Government > Randy and Co! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

while for others:

????????

Or absolutely no authority whatsoever! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

doc, I do think you give it away with that 'BB' comment. Of course, even if you edit it out, now ozstamps and I have given it away....

Think oh Flyertalk detectives! This is what I get from not reading Flyertalk last night -- I miss out on yet another soap opera!

"The authorities"?

Well we can rule out Al Gore - Mr. "no controlling legal authority"

Ehh, I once got a nasty note from a FTer who chose to use "bilgates remailer," whatever that is, to cover up his actually quite literate tracks. I thought from the loftiness of the sentiment and the elegance of the prose that it may have been one of the most respected members of the board (forgive me if I was wrong, o one whom I accused).

It's just part of life. I'd prefer the stuff to have a real return address on it, though.

violist:
You are a more patient person than I.

In my opinion, anonymous attacks = cowardice.

That is why I always use my real name on this and other forums. And e-mail.

It also serves as a deterrent to my losing control.
