Has anyone heard anything about those curious-looking codes - NG78-WDV7-BPFM-JRB -we were supposed to cutout that appeared in some cereal boxes?

Bajan
The codes are part of another promotion for kid's toys and stuff. If you have some that you are not using, I have a friend who has been saving them to get toys for her kids for Christmas. She would really appreciate any help, so lmk if you are feeling especially generous. Thanks |
Did I miss something HERE?
On the recent AA monthly fflyer newsletter (at the end with promos listed), it mentions that the 100 mile COUPONS for the kelloggs promotion will be on the boxes only until 12/30/00 but these can be redeemed through the following year of 2001. Is this a clarification/change? I understood the promotion to last through 01 for the coupons, while supplies last. Big news to me. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif JL2 [This message has been edited by JeffLewis2 (edited 09-09-2000).] |

Here in Southern California, thre is a coupon in the newspaper for $1 off the cereal in Sundays, paper making it almost free when doubled !
|
Here in "the City" (aka Manhattan), only Kellog's Complete cereal has the AA promotion in the chains I regularly shop. All of the other cereals which formerly had the AA coups now have a Disney cruise promotion.
I believe this promotion is on the way out. I am going to be sure I have no orphan coups since I understand they must be submitted in batches of exactly 5. |
Well, I just found them at $1.25 (Corn Flakes) and after donating them it is a net cost of $.90 each or $.009 per mile. Since I bought 400 boxes (yes I know but it was fun making up stories each time I went through the check out with 100 boxes http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif), I figure my next trip to the beautiful beaches of NorthEast Brasil cost me $360 and lots of hungry people have breakfast.
Opa! |
Safeway in the metro DC area has Corn Flakes on sale till the 19th (50% off the 18 oz. size). Now let's hope there are a few AA-marked boxes still around...
|
Shop and Save in Chelmsford, Mass. (north of Boston) had 13 different kinds of cereal with airplanes last night, if you count variations (like raisin and strawberry Mini-Wheats, or three kinds of All-Bran) individually. No Corn Flakes, though. Cheapest was Crispix at $2.99, not a bad price if you like Crispix but still 3¢/mile.

Well in Charlotte they never put the "right" cereal on sale. I sure miss the double and triple coupon and other deals of chains out west like Safeway, Von's, etc.
The AA boxes are becoming rare here, indeed. You can still find them on the "premium" cereals. I have resigned myself to eating my normal MiniWheats and clipping the certs. No PG action here, but what the heck. If I could find a DECENT sale/price reduction on Corn Flakes I would buy a crate and donate to the food bank, but no such luck. |
Lots of boxes at Farmer Jack in the Detroit area. Wish I could afford 400 boxes!
|
I have been taking advantage of this promotion... Since I haven't been able to get these cereals on sale, I have been bidding using Priceline and paying around $2.20 a box (Complete Bran Flakes and Mueslix)...
|
I have not seen it on any good cereals. Doesn't Kellogs realize that true mileage addicts eat cereal with sugar in it or at the very least something you can say without thinking of your grandparents.
Come on Cap'n give out some miles! |
I have to admit I was worried when I sent in 380 coupons good for 38,000 miles. Sent them by mail on Sept 14 and they all posted on Sept 29. Incredible! Now to practice my Brasilian portuguese.
Thanks to the person who posted the info on this promotion. |
