Lounge Access flying other carriers.

I understand that as a BA Gold you can use the BA Operated Lounges even if you are flying on another carrier that is not in that particular alliance(Oneworld).

Is there any other carriers Top Tier program that allows you the same benefit but is not paid for like Admirals Clubs?

Cheers

Alan

KLM PE lets you use the lounge regardless of airline flown plus two guests.

Similarly for SQ PPS & LH SEN, but not guests.

Of course if you are flying other airline within *A same day then any *Gold may access the designated lounge

QFF allows Platinum members access to the Qantas Club (domestic) whether travelling or not. Many a QF WP has been known to meet up at the QP (Qantas Pub) for a drink and some nibbles. (access to airside domestic terminals in Australia is not restricted to travelling pax).

The two guests rule is for AMS lounges only. However, you are allowed access with one guest at:

All KL-operated lounges
Some KL-contracted lounges
Most NW-operated lounges
MA-operated lounges in BUD
Most KQ-operated lounges

And, I believe, you can get guestless access to Jet Airways lounges.

Outside the KL/NW operated locations, it's inconsistent, however.

So, pretty generous, all told.

A random one is with bmi *Gold. Although you can only access bmi (and other *A) lounges when flying on any *A carrier, you do get free access to 'Workspace' business lounges at motorway service stations throughout the southern UK.

Finnair Platinum lets you access the lounges in Helsinki irrespective of the airline flown. They also let you take at least 1 guest in (I've never tried taking more than 1 in...)

I think the rule applies to all Finnair lounges but I think they are all in Helsinki anyway - all the ones overseas are either OneWorld or contracted out!

Lounges

America West and Northwest members have access to both lounges no matter what airline they are flying.

Maybe ending?

That is now (and as noted above, the "two guests" applies only at AMS); however, there is some concern that starting 1 June with the implementation of the merger with Air France that may go by the boards.

Question is: Is it ending, or is it simply sloppy writing in press releases?

We'll find out in a few weeks.

CO and NW club members have anytime access (regardless of what airline they're on).

DL CrownRoom members must be flying at least 1 CO segment for access.

PClubs are also Priority Pass locations.

SWISS Travel Club Gold gets you into lounges at airports where it operates, whatever airline you are flying with. But, oddly, it doesn't hold where its operations are code-shared (e.g. Helsinki), it's terminal-specific and fiendishly complicated in the US.
