Is awardplanner safe ?

don't know where to post this. I'm interested in this service because I have lots of miles and points, but don't have the patience to work around the all restrictions and phone calls to use them. So I was looking at the annual $99 program, but when it asked me to enter all my FF#'s and passwords, etc., I got a little nervous. Just wanted to check with others if this is a safe service as I assume once I give my passwords and pin's away, I could potentially lose a lot.

I've searched and read other posts that seem to attest to the good service provided, and it seems like I'm exactly the type of person this is intended for.

Thanks for anyone's input.

It's safe. It's owned by Randy Petersen, the same person that hosts this site. He's stated before that they don't have any additional access to what you would have by phone, but if you want to save time and hassle they're very easy to work with. I used them for the Olympics because it required calls on very specific dates (330 days out) and flexible itineraries, and I just didn't want to spend the time on it. I looked at it as my contribution towards FT, or the parent company, for all they've given me over the years.

i subscribed for one year but couldn't really do any better than trips i had already booked for myself. granted, i was looking for hard-to-get trips, but ended up with stuff i booked myself.

It's wonderful! I'm doing a round-the-world trip this fall, that involves a total of 21 flights and a number of hotels, all on miles & points. I told them what I basically wanted to do, and they got it together for me. Very knowledgeable, very responsive.

Were I booking one overseas book a year, I'd do it on my own. For a trip like this, it was a great investment.

IMHO, AwardPlanner is perfectly safe. I used them to plan three trips in 2002-3, and I liked them a lot. Then they raised the membership fee by over 100%, with very little explanation as to why. I was pretty turned off by that and did not renew. I felt like they were basically trying to get me to quit the service, and I still don't quite understand it.

But while I was a member, an agent named Yvonne handled my bookings. She did a very nice job.

Yvonne, helped me out also on a multi-stop trip to Australia. I felt very safe working with her.
