Chrismoss, I am not sure, I will call BA tommorrow. Nice thing is that with this AWD promo code you get a cheaper rental than you would if you used the usual BA AWD code even if you are a Gold. With the usual BA Silver Gold AWD your rental rate is higher than when you use the promo AWD. The promo AWD, whilst different for Blue and Silver/Gold memebers, results in the same rate.

ozstamps, yes this is for sure. I've earned Starpoints for city rentals. You can actually find the info on the Avis site. Check each of their partners that they list. You will find most of them say "airport locations", but not all.

Interesting -- I just priced a two-week Avis rental from BWI and it came back almost $200 more using the BA AWD code than it would have been just leaving the code area blank...

There is a Catholic seminary just down the road and I am going to see if we can work something out with them without exposing myself to all sorts of liability.

This delayed message is due to a mileage run from SFO-SIN that I finished this morning. As for limiting liability, I used to make a car reservation in my name and enter my FF number for credit, and add a supplemental driver which was my irresponsible cousin (at least he had a credit card in his name which was critical). He would always pick up the car first (he'd reference the record locator) and sign on as the primary driver, with me as the supplemental to come in later and sign on and pay in the end. My understanding is that the primary driver was primarily liable, then the rental car company would pursue me if not gaining full satisfaction from the primary driver. Perhaps the Catholic group has a satisfactory insurance policy for insurance coverage that could satisfy you, or perhaps you pay for the car and they reimburse you for coverage provided by car company. I would think that BA may be satisfied with your FF number on the reservation and you paying for it (keep your receipts). Hope this may help to get things started for you.

This does not seem like much of a deal to me considering you could just buy the miles from an airline for about the same price or maybe even less.
