News vs Buzz - Difference?
Can someone please explain what the difference is between the "In the News" forum and "The Buzz" forum? Thank you.
|
the 'NEWS' is more intended for resumées and links of/to articles in newspapers (related to ff), in many cases the original article could be ©
the Buzz is more about general ff-news of some more (or less) importance for more than one specific airline/hotel-ff-program etc. |
OK then,
what's the difference between General Talk and OMNI? |
"General TravelTalk" is to discuss issues related to travel, but not necessarily to frequent travel programs. "OMNI" is to discuss things not related to travel.

Gee those borderlines are getting very blurred when you take a look at the boards today for instance!

BTW- NJDAVID is the resident scholar in this particular regard, so you might look to him for eventual "clarification!" http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |
It doesn't take a brain surgeon nor a resident scholar to decipher the purpose of each forum. Many folks simply don't take time to read the forum descriptions before posting.
No offense to the newcomers, but I think a gentle reminder to post in the appropriate forum is not out of line. [This message has been edited by essxjay (edited 08-11-2000).] |
someone need to bring back the "peanut" explanation. It was excellent. It was done befor the "Spam" categories was added. Spam, I beleive is where you buy a bag of peanuts, eat them, then you get others to buy bags of peanuts and you get to eat more.

With all this scholarly advice abound, which came first, the chicken or the egg? I really would like to know, once and for all. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

MRLIMO-
As one "Mister" to another "Mister", I believe* at McDonalds in the beginning (of the day) you can purchase an EGG-based cholesterol thingee. You cannot purchase a CHICKEN-based thingee until much later in time. Good enough answer for me. I believe this should nicely answer the eternal question you refered to. * I have not actually done this in person |
I didn't make this up, I think it was Garrison Keiler.
A chicken and an egg are together in bed. The chicken is smoking a cigarette and has a big smile. The egg is frowning and is not happy. The egg say, "Well, I guess we answered that question". |

Thank you MisterNice. I am eternally grateful. Gosh, and to think that the answer was just down my street. And your street, and everyone else's street, too! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
