Hi all

As some of you know I occasionally visit and post at
http://www.pprune.org

which is a pilots bulletin board (although non-pilots such as myself can post to some forums).

I've noticed that they seem to be using the same bulletin board software as flyertalk except that there are a whole lot of smilies and other faces (crying, etc) that don't appear on flyertalk.

It is probably possible to enable this feature, so how about it - could we please have the full set of smilies? There also appears to be an automatic smilie (selectable) put to the left of each post.

I think it would brighten up our posts a little.

I liked the Smilie with the swaying Hawaiian hula skirt!

You're confused. All they've done is substitute different graphics for some of the standard smilies. Compare Smilies Legends if you don't believe me:

• theirs

I think I prefer their smile and frown. Their smiley face actually rotates like the earth.

Their frown has a moving teardrop on the face.

I say let's move from smiley economy to smiley first class and use their upgraded smileys!

I've seen a few of your posts on the pprune.org board. I find that board fascinating and spend more and more time reading it. It is VERY active and you learn some scary things there. I also noticed that they have parties there as well (EVERYBODY parties) and was thinking that a joint party might be appropriate in the future, probably in London. I was thinking about sending an e-mail to a frequent poster on that board that started out with something like 'greetings from the colonies" to get their attention. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

You know Ozstamps on reflection we DEFINENTLY need the smilie with the hula skirt.

Someone did say that there were once all kinds of extra stuff like that on this board and some older computers crashed or loaded slowly or something?

Maybe that is a reason for keeping it fairly basic? Anyway, that is a very interesting board .. thanks for pointing it out.
