Fly anywhere in USA/Canada/Mexico for $80
Interesting fare basis that applies to most US airlines. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif More details on the UA site on flyertalk for anyone interested. All miles, bonueses, upgrades etc apply.

I didn't see it posted under the UA thread until now. I guess you are talking about the 'visit-USA-segment-passes'.
With UA, as a European (and other 'overseas' based costumers with slightly other rules), I can buy 3 to 8 UA coupons, each coupon good for a ONE-flight-number (can be more than one segment, must be ONE FLIGHT-#) travel in North-America (Hawaii would cost more), the tickets are good in conjunction with a transatlantic flight (first segment must be flown not later than 30 days after your transatlantic trip, last sement not later than 60 days after first). With UA you must proof residence outside N-America when buying the ticket, and UA always asks for proper identification when I check-in in the US with this 'pass. The prices for 8 segments come really down to about $80 in low season (for only 3 segments the price is about $120/segment). |
