How is Legend?

Who out there has flown Legend (out of Dallas) yet? Is it all it was cracked up to be? If you fly from LAX to IAD most of the time, it seems to be a pretty good deal to go across country.

Comments?

I have flown Legend several times and believe its wonderful. I will most definetely travel Legend whenever I fly from LAX to DAL, IAD, or LGA.

Very much a first class product!

bdwarf-i'm flying legend in a few weeks for the first time (LAX-DAL) look for my trip report then. from the past reports though, i am eagerly anticipating it. one question-for previous flyers... what's the directTV programming like?

I flew Legend from dal to iad two weeks ago. The dal situation is wonderful with pleasant waiting areas and an attentive group. IAD, on the other hand, is still at a teething stage, with no signage for the legend gate and arrival/departure information difficult to find. The commute into washington does seem to nullify the advantage of love field. as someone who rarely works on planes, direct tv is a welcome addition

For those still awaiting the Legend experience, there's another Trip Report you can read...mine! It's a bit long but has lots of details.

Lets' see I see their terminal, just great then I follow their frustation against American and the Love Field issue. I feel for them so I decided to look into flying them. They tell me after I made 4 phone calls I would get miles transferable to Delta.
I buy my ticket still told I can get Delta miles flight was on time but no regular tv so I couldn't watch the greensboro final round, only golf was golf channel a match from 30 years ago in Bermuda. Wine is free beer had to pay. The rolls were hard as a brick. Poor meal. On the return flight no glasses, said people were stealing them. Seems strange when only 17 people are on a flight. My biggest complaint is they were misleading the public by posting several flights as soldout. So if you went to the Airport and said as many have done I'll go standby and maybe get on. WRONG! They were not full they did not have those flights as they only had 2 planes. So once a plane left you had to wait for it to go to Dallas and then come back. This is almost fraud, and a down right lie. I sent them an email; took 3 weeks to get an answer. I suggest American out of Love Field First Class to LA and Chicago.

My Point on Delta you don't get miles on Delta you must fly 25,000 miles on Legend to get enough miles to get a free ticket on Delta. Flew them 2 months ago still no statement nor have received my Legend Frequent Flyer card. Also the web page will enroll you in their program, but won't give you a number. First Class Seats, Third World operation.
