Question About Allowable Segments
 

I know that DL has some rule about additional(unnessasary) segments being disallowed towards elite status. I plan to fly(RT); BDL->CVG, CVG->ATL, ATL->TPA, and the reverse route on the return. Is DL going to allow all six segments to be put towards elite status? What do other carriers do about this? Thank's in advance.

I can't imagine having trouble with 2 connections. I've got an upcoming CO trip where I have 2 connections on the way there, as that actually lowered my fare by a couple hundred dollars.
