Segment question. Need HELP *A.S.A.P*
 

Newbie Question- I'm going for status on Delta. I plan on doing it by doing segments. I need to know if a flight that includes a "stop" WITHOUT a change of planes would be counted as two segments? I'm waiting to find out so I can book my flights tonight. Any help would be appreciated. Thank, Bill.

It only counts if Delta has assigned a different flight number for the second takeoff. For instance, you could change planes, but Delta has the same flight number, so you only get credit for one segment. Conversely, Delta could use the same plane, but change flight numbers after it lands and if you were on the same plane with two flights you would get two segments. Confusing isn't it! Remember it is the flight numbers by Delta that count.

If your ticket has ie Dallas Orlando but it stops in Atlanta that is one segment but if it has two coupons or says Dallas Atlanta Orlando thats 2
