I don't see any certificates for anything travel related except something called SuperShuttle. Can you point me to the page?
Thanks!

Click on "Gift Certificates" on the left side of the C-tribe home page to see the Hyatt/Marriott Certificates.

keithnj973 May 27, 2000 6:54 am

Thank you, found them! I think what was throwing off my browser was the commission DH earned every time I click on his link http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

DH May 29, 2000 7:34 pm

Looks like Marriott and Hyatt certificates are no longer available. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

DH: Do you know if they get these often?

dingo May 30, 2000 8:10 pm

this is spam. please post it in its appropriate category so those of us that are on topic won't have to waste our time.

Thanks for your understanding.

Looks like Marriott 20% certificate is available! The link is from email I received from C-Tribe.com This offer is good til 6/6 or while supplies last.

You also can get the Marriott certificates at 35% off using sign up credit at DealPool.com If you already used the credit, then it's 15% discount. The cycle closes midnight today, June 1.

Lastly free $25 AA/Hyatt/Marriott certificates can be earned by taking advantage of More.com's spend $10 and get a free $25 supercertificate redeemable at 800giftcertificate.com

Please check out ValueConsumer.com for more GC at discount tips!

DH - I tried that latest link at C-Tribe, and after I entered all my information (including Credit Card data), it said:

C-Tribe is currently conducting routine maintenance on this portion of the web site. You may continue browsing other areas of the site
So, it was a no go..

khoward Jun 1, 2000 10:29 am

I got the same response as above... BUT there is a pending charge on my credit card. This site seems to be quite screwed up... I'd advise anyone to stay away until it gets fixed.

DH Jun 1, 2000 12:35 pm

Hmmm, I guess C-Tribe may not be ready for the prime time. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif My initial attempt wasn't successful but I was able to purchase GC successfully without any problem on later try. You could try call its customer service number @877-4-CTRIBE, 8am - 5pm PST, Mon - Fri or email mailto:[email protected][email protected]</A> .

They announced their revamped website today with a big press release and so they got "hit" pretty hard! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

GiftCertificate.COM is having serveral promotions, great time to buy Marriott and American Airline Gift cetitifcates at 25%!!!!

When you check out use the code SPECIAL3 and you'll get $25 off $100 or more. This is great! I always take advantage of this. Also there are other deals like get $10 off of $50 or more, etc.. The listing can be found in this site that my friend told me about last week. It's pretty cool. http://www.valueconsumer.com/eDeals/eDeals.htm#GCOffers

JoE Jun 2, 2000 8:53 pm

I tried the SMFDAY72 discount at Giftcertificates.com, but it said that the promotion is not valid. Anybody has some info on that ?

DH Jun 2, 2000 10:28 pm

I wonder whether giftcertificates.com pulled the plug on those codes?

One of the down side of internet(?) is the news spread fast and companies withdraw offers because it become TOO SUCCESSFUL. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

funtime Jun 2, 2000 11:31 pm

i just got this reply from giftcertificates.com in response to my question about purchasing $200 in certificates, do you get one $25 cert or $50 back?

"the promotional code Special 3 is limited to one per person for a maximum of $25."

DH Jun 3, 2000 12:07 am

funtime, usually the coupon/promo code is valid once per person per purchase. There are ways to get around this limitation but... Looks like you found this out late.

For those who couldn't get giftcertificates.com code to work, GM is offering $50 SuperCertificate to GiftCertificates.com for test driving any GM car or truck This is the THE BARGAIN!

Also don't forget to check out ValueConsumer.com for other test drive offers!

oh, this is the story of the marriott certs. yesterday, i ordered from giftcertificates.com and the agent on the 800 number told me the SPECIAL3 was good for one $25 cert, the email customer rep told me the same thing, that same day, i ordered, now they tell me the promo code SPECIAL3 was ended on 12/31/99! so, i don't get the lousy $25.

can you believe this? i think my attempts to get marriott certs (this and deadpool.com) have now ended. i hope this is not a fortelling of a bad trip.

MileageGeek Jun 4, 2000 3:16 pm

I had no problem today with GiftCertificates.com buying a Marriott $100 cert for $85.00 using promo code SMFDAY62.

I forgot to run it through Greenpoints first though. Oh well.

dgordon Jun 4, 2000 11:38 pm

Special 3 has expired. SMFDAY72 (or 73, or 74) gives $20 off an AA $100 cert. It may be the same promo code for Marriot or Hyatt. Does anyone have a code that gives $25 off AA $100 cert at giftcertificates.com ?

DH Jun 5, 2000 2:04 pm

C-Tribe is offering $100 Hyatt GC at $80 again. From my experience, it offers limited number of GC at steep discount. So early birds will get the bargain.

FYI, C-Tribe usually sells GC at 5% or 10% but time to time it offers at steeper discount (to entice new coustomers IMHO).

Lastly, if you don't see the Hyatt GC on the page, that means ran out GC at that price.

Check out ValueConsumer.com for discounted GCs. BTW, I took off non-working GiftCertificates.com coupon codes. Please note that coupon code can be only used once.
