Riskiest Mileage run tactics...

I'm curious as to what others do for mileage runs that are a bit risky. About twice a month a go BUR-SFO-LAS and back all in the same day. My tickets are cheap because they are back to back (legal ones at that: a long time ago I bought a one way full fare BUR-LAS. Then, I bought a bunch of LAS-BUR roundtrips that cover the Sat nights.)

Anyway, what makes this risky is the SFO weather. If I get socked in, and flights get cancelled, I'll mess up the return. So far weather has cooperated. But my heart does skip a beat often!

Thanks

$90 roundtrip. 4 segments, about 3000 miles (because of Prem Ex bonus and internet bonus)

For only 3000 miles, you expose yourself to a small safety risk and wasted time. Some phone service bonuses are in that range.
Do you need to buy $3000 worth of stuff?

It's the segments, not the miles that really add up for me.

Don't forget that somebody chasing miles during the triple mileage days died in an airplane crash in Colorado Springs. Do be careful out there .....
