Fare/Route Planning Sites
it has occured to me that maybe some folks
here may not be aware of two low(er) profile fare/route finder sites. when i am interested in cheap roundtrips and don't really care much about departure times, i use www.air-fare.com. it lists the lowest fares found on a short list of (major) city-pairs. it is also a classic html-only site, so you bookmark the fare page(s) of interest and not have-to retype the itinerary when checking for new/lower fares. they also highlight fares that have dropped significantly ... wonderful for finding tkt pricing errors! when i need to more carefully engineer my itinerary, i use www.itasoftware.com. it permits open jaw routes, departure date windows and alternative airports w/in a mileage range that you specify. anyone have a favorite that they care to add? -doug |
dranz:
Thanks for the tip on air-fare.com. I really like being able to bookmark one city and getting updates without having to do a lot of searching different sites. |
very cool, dranz. iata is my other choice as well, having stumbled upon many months ago.
