Mileage Earning Payment
 

Hi!

I put it here b'cos it may not connected to credit card anymore..

Thanks all for advice and one question: Since the biggest sum of my expenses are paid to the university (around 30000/year in four installments) and it don't accept Credit card (only Check/Cash, maybe MO). Any method to earn miles when paying for this big sum of momey?

i am kinda tired now, so this might not be a good answer. . .

any chance of you using a card to purchase traveler checks? then, send your cash to the credit card company and the travelers checks to the school.

Sounds good to me! You would probably have to pay the x percent or whatever cash advance fee, and the 1 percent Traveler's Check fee - and -- -- Well, maybe this isn't such a good idea after all. I see fees approaching $1200 for the $30,000 tuition, which does not sound like such a great deal.
One of our son's schools (UVM) did not accept credit cards, but switched over in his senior year, and our last son's school (College of NJ (formally Trenton State)) did not accept cards for his Freshman year, but did for his 2nd and 3d year, so keep on asking. Obviously, you have to immediately pay off the card when you get the bill so you won't get socked by the interest charges.

Perhaps you may want to look into one of the online banks. I think some of them offer miles for opening an account/making deposits then you could pay your tuition from there
