BJJ, this looks like a good plan. I guess you want to go to Acapulco? If not, you could use your AAdvantage award to start in GUA and save yourself $452. (Maybe the seats to GUA aren't available?) You should be able to pick up all three segments with the partner airlines with this savings.
Regarding the Aces UIO plan: We were going to do the same thing, with the plan to get off the plane, then check back in. You should be fine.
One other tip for those making plans: reconfirm all your flights within a day or so of the flight. We failed to do so with a non-LatinPass carrier (ALM), and found our plane didn't have enough seats for all of us. ALM basically said, "tough, you didn't reconfirm, you can catch our next plane..."

BJJ -
I was thinking about doing the same thing. For the information of others, ACES operates BOG - UIO - LIM under the same flight number as a through flight. Would we be OK booking this as two separate flights and on two separate tickets?? Or would it be better and more secure just to spend a night in UIO?? Could we do a through check-in in BOG??
Thanks for bringing this up.

I was just looking at the last posting for a million mile run and I don't see a flight that would qualify for NICA. I thought that it had to be between Miami and Managua. I thought I saw something about a flight between Managua and El Salvador but no one confirmed it would earn for NICA. If there is updated info regarding earning credit for NICA could someone post it here at the end of the string. Thanks

I was wondering how easy it will be to use the Latin Pass miles once they are credited. Does anyone have past experience with their frequent flier program? Specifically I was wondering how easy it will be to book flights on the parnter airlines. Any wisdom would be appreciated.

I, for one, am going to transfer the vasy majority of my miles to HHonors. I'm not sure how much longer LP is going to be around and don't want them suddenly changing their expiration policies later on. See the posts way at the start of this long thread. I may keep some for what I think is the best mileage deal they have of 75,000 miles Europe to Sydney in Biz. Class on KLM.

A good site www.leisuretraveler.net has the information on how to do the same itinerary. A sample itinerary as well as price breakdown is listed there.
This is my first posting but I have been following this thread for the past two weeks. Thanks for a lot of useful information. I too have called Latin Pass on several occasions and received conflicting information. One person told me the hotel portion had to be fullfilled by using three seperate hotel stays and three consecutive nights would not do. I have received an E-Mail from Latin Pass and they have now said that the three successive nights are OK. Anyone attempting the million mile offer should be cautioned that five succesive nights in the same hotel will not satisfy this offer.

I'm more confused than ever with the hotel requirements for the million. I just called LP to ask if holiday inn and holiday inn express count as 2 partners.....she said hold on a minute let me find out....when she came back she said thats fine all you need for the million mile bonus is to stay 1 night in 1 and 2 nights in the other when I told her "I thought you had to stay 3 nights in any 2 hotel parnters for a total of 6 nights" her response was "no , just stay a total of 3 nights in any 2"!!!!!!!!!!!
sounds fishy to me. Any ideas on this?

Earlier on this thread there was some question as to whether the MIA - MGA flight would count as a Nica flight for the 500,000 mile promotion. It's clear that it counts as Nica for the 1,000,000 mile promotion, but somewhat ambigious about counting for the 500,000 mile promotion.
I emailed Latin Pass the question, and they immediately replied, "Yes, it would definitely count as a Nica flight."

Lacsa is telling me that they can't enter my Latin Pass number. (none of the other airlines had a problem) How did those of you who already did your runs get them to enter your number? Thanks!
