ClickRewards e*trade promotion
e*trade has had an ongoing promotion with clickrewards for opening a new e*trade account. I had gotten clickrewards on a previous e*trade account that I opened jointly, and have just scored again. Opened a joint account with my wife a couple of months ago, using her e-mail as the clickrewards account for the miles. then deposited $10K+ into the account (actually just transferred in a mutual fund which was being held by the fund company directly of over $10K), and now 8 weeks after the transfer she has the 10K ClickRewards. JUST in time, I might add, to double them with the Starwood promotion (had to open up a new starwood account for her, just to make use of this promotion--lol). So, for transferring a mutual fund (which we still own, same shares, no taxable event, didn't have to cash them out), we got 20K Starwood points to transfer into airline miles on whatever airline we want. Hard to beat that deal.
I will admit, I had to prompt Click rewards with about three e-mails. they promise about 6 weeks, so I started e-mailing them when the deadline was approaching to ask where were the miles. Credited today, and will be transferred to Starwood tonite. Overall though, no complaints about ClickRewards. They deliver what they promise. Far better than MyPoints, IMHO (although you don't have the same opportunity to earn by just viewing sites, etc.) But for purchases, go with Click. Also, just got Quadruple points at Garden.com too for the purchase of a Felco pruner for me (which I convinced my wife she was "giving" me for my upcoming birthday). Quadruple Clicks gave over 200 Clicks, and I'll now transfer to Starwood for over 400 airline miles. Garden.com had it as cheap as I could find anywhere on the net, and got 400 airline miles to boot. Once again, I'm a happy ClickRewards customer. |
