Miles for surfing???

Does anyone know of a website that will rewards you for surfing the internet? I checked that smartflier.com site but no longer works. I also checked that profinity.com site and it too is not working.

At one point there was a site called something like netmiles.com but it went out of business.

The only site I've found succesful is ALLADVANTAGE. They pay cash, not miles. I've received two checks from them and seem to have no problems. Maybe they will start to earn miles instead of cash! Any suggestions?
Maybe we can all ask them to!
If you'd like to join, allow me to refer you! This way I too get credit!!! Alladvantage: http://alladvantage.com/home.asp?refid=cbh101

Profinity.com seems to have been down since Xmas Day. Hope this hasn't fallen by the wayside like all the others. Still waiting for WebBonusMiles to get going if it ever will. It's been 6 months now. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Hi Miles Man. I see you're working on that Junior Member issue. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Have you tried www.etour.com? It's not exactly what you're looking for but along the same lines. Please let us know if Alladvantage does make the change to miles. I for one don't go for reward programs unless they pay miles. It's a miles addiction thing......lol.

I checked with www.freeairmiles.com over the weekend. You can not earn any miles yet, but are about 45 to 90 days away. They plan to e-mail the members the actual launch date when it approaches. I got an e-mail back form their conceirge desk that said they are going to change the format a little when they do launch. The plan is to give away up to 1000 miles a day maximum NOT 100 as currently advertised. They plan to put out a press release after the new year informing of such a change. They still are dealing with Delta and TWA only right now, but looking forward to earning miles by surfing the web soon.

Another excellent rewarding site is FreeRide. They offer gift certificates, not miles. If you go there daily & click on destination points 7 times for at least 6 points per banner ad, you can eaily get a $5 Reb Lobster/ Olive Garden gift certificate in 2 weeks. The offer a variety of places to spend your FreeRide points, but the only travel-related gift certificate one can earn is from Marriott.

If you're feeling generous, when enrolling please enter my username under the question of Username of friend who told you about us: FMETZ

I think that cash is much more flexible than miles, and myself prefer cash. If you prefer miles, many airlines will let you buy miles.

onepassaddict Dec 27, 1999 9:37 pm

Alladvantage definitely pays you to surf the web (I have friends who have received checks), though they sure take their time sending out checks. If you want to sign up, go to http://alladvantage.com/home.asp?refid=AMI413

Good luck getting blood from this rock!

clsgws Dec 30, 1999 4:19 pm

Thanks for the info about www.freeairmiles.com Right now the website says 500 miles a day-sounds too good to be true--but I signed up anyway. If anyone else signs up, use my referral name--Twinee

Hope this pans out, could be a great way to get those miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

davey crockett Jan 5, 2000 8:57 am

you are right....it is 500 miles per day. They just had another press release discussing just that from PRNewswire.

Thanks for the correction.

Anxiously awaiting launch....

Captain Mike Jan 5, 2000 2:13 pm

Is it still just Delta and TWA miles that can be earned, or has the field broadened to include others?

AZ_MISMAN Jan 6, 2000 4:55 pm

onepassaddict: I just signed up using your referral.

GoToWorld has a similar thing as AllAdvantage. It has a browser that you tell to be 'Show Ad-banner Only', I hide it behind the AllAdvantage one to save DeskTop space.

Not much has been happening with FreeAirMiles.com lately, but I have heard that they will be starting a 25,000 FreeAir Mile giveaway on February 15th. They will have 4 seperate drawings, for a total of 100,000 FreeAir Miles to be given out to 4 bi-weekly winners over the next 8 weeks.

Tell more...when know more.

Miles Man Feb 16, 2000 11:51 pm

I got the same e-mail for the 25,000 mile giveaway. Ill be more interested once it's up and going.

Looking for my next check from Alladvantage! (this will be my fourth!)

My computer is painfully slow with these ad bars showing from Advantage et al. Could I get away with leaving my web browser up for a few nights each month with these ads flickering away?? My browser will not disconnect because I do it through the cable tv company.

You will not be paid if you do not actively surf. I am not sure what the timeframe is, but if you idle for an extended period (I think 5 to 10 minutes) you will notice that the green light turns to red (this is on the left-hand side of the viewbar area).

jimmyjames Feb 22, 2000 3:05 pm

I know of a downloadable program that that randomly selects a list of urls (customizable) and also has the feature of moving the cursor around the screen and randomly clicking by itself. I turn it on before I go to bed and when I wake up I have 6-7 hours of surfing that I get paid for. Probably not too legal but it does work. http://alladvantage.com/home.asp?refid=JJZ753, E-mail me after you registered mailto:[email protected][email protected]</A> and I will tell you the site and program!

Hello all....I sent an e-mail to [email protected] to find out 1) When they plan to allow members to receive miles and 2) If they plan to add more airlines.

1) They expect members to be earning miles on or BEFORE May 15th. They are still building the advertising base. Their will be catagories, and mileage values for each, much like iwon.com. Expecting anywhere from 25 to 75 miles per click-through. Still a max of 500 per day.

2) They have added the following Airlines:
AMERICAN
CONTINENTAL
MIDWEST EXPRESS
NORTHWEST
SOUTHWEST
UNITED
US AIRWAYS

If you plan on joining www.FreeAirMiles.com please use me as a referral "viday" is my FreeAir ID name...Thanks

I had the same problems with alladvantage slowing the machine down to nothing, but a week or so ago they released a new version which has made it much better (I think it's 1.3 or something)

You have to activly move the mouse around for it to earn cash, when the logo's head goes red you have stopped earning. I don't know how long before moves, but it's not as long as some of the other cash to surf places.

They are however, the only place I have found that is sending out checks on a regular basis, I now count it as a bit of extra money at the end of each month. If you do sign up please use me as the reffer:

Milesource does give you 1500 for signed up, but it is really not a "free miles for surfing" webiste. Milage will come from purchases. You can earn ONE MILE for clicking through to website--but this is very little reward for alot of time spent clicking and waiting.

cordelli Feb 24, 2000 1:45 pm

Thanks Frymoyer.

For Milesource, if you don't want to wait for each window to open and then close it you can go to their link page, right click on the link, choose open in new window, and move on to the next one. You can open all 20 of them, watch TV for a few minutes, close all the windows, and you will have been credited for all the windows. It's lots quicker then doing them one by one.

The whole point of joining up underneath everyone is to "spread the wealth". People are saying they've been skipped when they haven't. For example, look at their link. It shows their referral number. The referral numbers are given out in order. Example AAA-111. Alladvantage is currently on the K's, like KKK-001. These people who say "i've been skipped" have numbers going as far back as myself. Let's be honest and give others a chance.

Miles Man Feb 26, 2000 11:53 pm

BSAY and ONEPASS, how can you be next, you have been a member of Alladvantage long before this was posted. The point of the "congo" line is for new people who have no referrals. The new numbers being issued start with the letter K. Like KKK-001.

OnePassMan Feb 27, 2000 2:26 am

MilesMan -

I wanted to respond as you specifically mentioned me in your last post.
I am having trouble understanding your logic!
I have not had a chance to refer anyone under my AA ID, FT or otherwise (completely my fault, of course). What does the enrollment date have to do with anything? If you scan this thread, there are numerous referral links with early-issue acct #'s. I did sign up awhile ago (I actually signed up as a referral from an FT member with a signature line, I forgot who it was) but the "congo line" was not in fashion then. Am I only allowed to get a referral from the board if I enrolled in the last 30 days? 60 days? Aren't we all just helping each other out?

PS - I am only a "Junior Member", so if I broke any rules I was unaware of, I apologize to all!

Miles Man Feb 27, 2000 4:23 pm

BSAY and ONEPASS, PLEASE accept my apologies, I wasn't trying to come across as a "know-it-all"! When someone signs up under a referral, it is that person's turn to get the next referral. I believe that was the intention of the "congo line". If someone has already signed up, such as myself and yourself, and take the next referral, we will in essence short that new member of a referral. I apologize if I came across with a different message.

Frymoyer Feb 29, 2000 10:17 am

Hi all,

Has anybody been having trouble with their referrals showing up on Alladvantage? I was apparently used to refer someone (above) but it hasn't shown up on my account yet. I sent an email to alladvantage, but I'm new to this so I thought I'd check in and see what other folks' experience has been.

Thanks!

(in case anybody wants to sign up and wants to try to use me as a referral)

cordelli Feb 29, 2000 11:18 am

I won't break the line, but will answer karen. (I've got a short list of programs at www.cordelli.com/getrich.html but sign up for alladvantage under the last legitimate person here, it's only fair).

All Advantage sent an e-mail late last night saying they were doing some work on their servers, mainly to get the payout information to show up in the native currency of the country the member lives in, with payouts now in the local currency. Guess the fees overseas banks charge to cash a check in US Dollars wasn't helping them get members in some countries. So if I have people under me in the UK and Zaire, they will see their earnings in their local currency, and I will see mine in dollars.

Anyhows, in their post they said it may take a few days to get all the referrals correct in your listings, not to be alarmed, and people may have trouble signing up depending on which server they have down at the time.

Mike
