500 free Miles

Hi all

There's a new shopping mileage program called milesmore.com that readers might want to look at.

If people sign up before February 28 they'll get 500 Free Miles on either Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Marriott or the site's own points program.

Seems like a good way to get some extra miles for free. Pity they're not partnered with Continental.

cheers Peter

No worries guys

I wan't interested in referrals - I just thought it was a nice christmas present for all of us.

I'm still puzzling about which scheme to put the 500 miles in as I have little miles in any of the participating schemes - I suspect I might go with Alaskan.

cheers Peter

Anyone seen the miles deposited in their Alaskan or Hawaiian account? About how long did it take?

This program looks excellent if they can deliver. 2 miles/dollar with a host of merchants. Much more extensive list than ClickRewards or MyPoints. Would be great if they had other airline partners, but Alaska miles have a lot of flexibility (useful on AS, AA, CO, NW, etc.)

MileageAddict Jan 11, 2000 11:01 am

I signed up for this service a few weeks before Xmas. Not only did I get credited for the 500 miles sign-up bonus but I received an additional 500 miles Holiday bonus (whatever that is). Did anyone else get this additional 500 mile windfall? The website claims to have already submitted the miles to Alaska for me but I think it is a little too early to expect them to post. I think another two weeks should do it.

I received my sign up bonus (only 500 miles, though) on Hawaiian in less than two weeks. Since then I made one purchase, and the miles were posted very quickly too. Perhaps the posting speed depends on the partner?

Well I signed up and will wait for my 500 Marriott points.

OMNI: one of the partners in the program is Dan's CHocolates who is giving away 10 thousand boxes of chocolate a day for $1.

Deal goes on through January 14th

GO to: http://www.danschocolates.com

Nice deal if you have someone you want to give someone special sweets (or sweets for a sweetheart)

Right on Catdude. Gimme those chocolates before I hurt somebody!

Great place for a dentist to put a banner ad.

Oops, sorry. Browser a little loopy tonight. BTW, thanks for the milesmall tip. At this rate, I should be able to cash in on the Marriott reward by Y3K!

More info on the chocolates: 8 oz box for a dollar but you can only order one from any given email address. I was going to send one to everyone I knew. Fortunately, I sent mine to my husband so we can share!

MileageAddict Jan 13, 2000 4:51 pm

It's limit one box per day so I sent one to my wife yesterday, one to my mommy today and I plan to send my 94 year old grandmother a box tomorrow!

Where on the website do you go to get that chocolates for $1 ?

Damian,

Sorry, the promotion ended Friday around noon Pacific time. Each day for a total of five days, they were selling a 2000 half-pound box of gourmet chocolates for $1 including FedEx shipping.

My Alaska Air miles posted also plus some miles from a purchase I made.....bye, bye MyPoints!

I believe the January edition of InsideFlyer noted that if you set your Marriott Rewards account to earn miles and have the MilesMall.com points go into your Marriott account, the points/miles will be transferred to your airline FF program of choice. If true, this effectively extends the 2 miles/$ to all airline programs aligned with Marriott. Anyone try this?

Beckles Feb 25, 2000 8:44 pm

I've gotten my 500 Marriott Rewards points from them too already, plus I made a purchase through them and got those points also. Seems to work pretty good so far ... if only all the sites worked this well!

Anyone who hasn't signed up for this yet, I'd definitely encourage you to do so ... easiest 500 miles (Alaska or Hawaiian) or points (Marriott Rewards) you'll earn (and I'm not even saying that trying to get a referral since they don't do that!).

smk219 Feb 26, 2000 8:31 am

The signup bonus for milesmall ends at the end of February. This is a great company, the miles post very quickly and they have a lot of shopping partners that Clickrewards and MyPoints (if you dare shop with them) don't have. For example, I like to shop at Amazon and before I found milesmall I couldn't get any points for them. They have many retailers that the other companies just don't have.

If you want the signup bonus head over there soon. The miles post quickly and they have not missd one of my purchases yet. I highly recommend.
