Mobile phone access to email, vm, faxes

My company (uReach.com) today launched WAP mobile phone access to our integrated communications service. Those of you with Sprint PCS phones can access the service over WAP today.

You can see the press release at http://www.ureach.com/home/news_press5.htm.

Rocky, this sounds pretty impressive. I didn't see where it said what it cost though. Is it free? And is it full voice access to send and receive email and surf the web, or just to receive email. Thanks

Steffo-

We provide full voice access to retrieve and respond to messages. You can also send voice messages to people in your address book. (These are delivered as emails with sound file attachments.)

No voice Web surfing, though... too difficult to do.

The first 30 minutes of phone usage each month are free. (60 minutes free first month.) Additional minutes cost 8-10 cents, depending on how much you buy. You can use the Web site as much as you want for free.

We also recently enabled outgoing calls. After you call into your personal 800 number and enter your PIN, you can make calls to virtually any number in the U.S. Rates for this are 12-15 cents a minute, depending on how much you buy. Cheaper and easier than calling cards.

Thanks for the info, Rocky. Can you post the link where it gives the info on buying minutes and such? I didn't find this part of the site at all. Oh, yes and I better state for the record that I don't work for Volume.buy, I mean U.reach!

Rocky, any chance you could get someone from your company to ever answer email from me? The current rate seems to be one response per six weeks, regardless of the number of emails I've sent. You've continued to have major technical problems, including repeatedly sending me confidential messages addressed to other members. I would feel better receiving an automated, "sorry, we're really busy" message than near-constant silence.

Carl-

I have sent an email to you at the email address registered with FlyerTalk asking for more information about this situation.

I'm sorry that no one has responded to your email. I know that typically our customer service staff responds within 24-48 hours, and usually, much, much sooner. (We very often get compliments on the speediness of our response.) At the very least, you should receive an automatic response every time you send an email.

As far as "major technical problems" I can't recall a sustained outage since I started here in November. There have been a few glitches, but most of these have been resolved very quickly. Our uptime is more than 99%.

Mytalk.com offers FREE email retrieval and
voice reply. Plus, you can make a free two minute phone call anywhere in the USA. Free voicemail too. The only drawback is that you listen to brief commercials. To me it's well worth it. I have it set up so that my email arrives at both my Worldnet address and at my Mytalk address. I think it's the
best thing since sliced bread and miles! :-)
