5000 free IHG Rewards Club Points
Available only to the first 10,000 people who do it so hurry!
IHG Rewards Club is offering 5000 points for sharing a photo of yourself on Twitter or Instagram. It’s supposed to be ‘at home’ or ‘at an IHG hotel’.

What cost? Sure, if you're someone who is steadfast against doing anything on social media then I'd say yes, it's not worth it to open an account just for this. Anybody else who already uses IG/TB/TW regularly can just as well use the promotion as advertises, nothing lost. Privacy is a thing of the past.

I don't really know how to use twitter, but I did this:
From the twitter.com home page I clicked tweet, and then the text is:
#HomeWithIHG #ad #Rewardsoffer @IHGRewardsClub
and I attached the picture.
Is that the right way to do this?

Giving all my personal information to the likes of Twit-ter or Instagram.
Only because millennials have allowed it to become so. When you have nothing and nothing to lose, you have no need for privacy.

Well, I gave it a try, despite all the valid comments and reservations about it here and in the promotions thread over at the IHG Hotels forum. Let’s be clear, I am horrified by social media and wasn’t a member of anything except LinkedIn (I will never join Facebook). So this is quite a step for me. I’ll probably be hacked and lose my identity all the way to stars of Cassiopeia! But here’s hoping not.

Not sure what millennials have to do with the loss of privacy or social media as a whole. I'm not in that group and use it regardless. The real loss of privacy is connected to the government, not private companies who give you a platform to voluntarily participate on.
But hey, nobody forces you to take advantage of this promotion.
