more.com 1,000 pt offer is back

MyPoints is again offering 1,000 points for a $15 purchase from more.com

honu Jan 25, 2000 12:07 pm

Sorry to be a wet blanket today (see my post above about volumebuy.com), but, if you decide to use more.com, be prepared to send copious emails to mypoints for your bonus.

I took advantage of their offer in December, and neither my account, nor my husband's was credited with the 1000 bonus points. I called mypoints two days ago, and they stated that they had "techinical problems" that prevented them from posting the 1000 points. Right. According to the gentleman I spoke with, they *might* be able to post them sometime this week...

I like more.com's service well enough, I just wish they'd associate with a better company for their promos (clickrewards perhaps?).

If anybody got the 1000 bonus points for the Dec. promo, would you mind letting us know?

Thanks

honu

Same problem here, STILL no points for my December purchase. Several emails to mypoints and all I have received were promises the points would be posted.
I completely agree with you on More.com and their association with mypoints. I have started writing emails to the companies for which I have not received the mypoints. Perhaps letting them know they paid mypoints for the "click-thru" and purchase and mypoints in turn shafts their customer, will open their eyes to whom they are doing business with.

Me too. Still no points since December, despite well documented request to MyPoints. I think I'll register my complaint with More.Com, who gave me excellent service.

Same thing happened to me.
I found this information from MileageAddict's previous post:

MyPoints.com

Telephone: (415) 676-3700

And steve100 posted this in another thread:

Hope this helps.

SORRY, just got an e-mail back from MORE as to why the address they sent didn't work, THE CORRECT ADDRESS is [email protected]

Thank you for the info Craz, I hope when companies start hearing about the service Mypoints provides, they will encourage them to shape up or not do business with them. I have never had a problem like this with ClickRewards. And now that MilesMall and Ebates are out there, there are too many choices to even consider dealing with Mypoints. I hope the companies switch their business to ClickRewards. JMO

I've been reading the posts here with interest. I've been getting MyPoints for the last few months and have received a total of 50,000 miles split among my three family members. I've kept track of my time (even the time spent emailing about missing points) and it works out to about $50 an hour valuing the miles at 2 cents each. Yes, they can be a pain sometimes as I have to email frequently to request my points, but they've always come through with the points eventually. For me, the benefits outweigh the hassles.

Anyway, I've never looked into ClickRewards and MilesMall. I'm curious to know from those of you who use them, how those compare in terms of time v. rewards. I have looked at pointclick, which seems to work out to something like .00001 cents an hour.

I don't think it's being offered "again" but is "still" being offered. I spoke with someone yesterday at My Points and he said that they are working on the More.com point posting situation and that it should only take another week. I also asked if this offer is new and if one can get it more than once and was told, no. It's a one time deal.
Yes, they can be a pain. You really have to keep track of the points that are to post and you really have to be on them about posting missing points, but eventually they'll do it. I get frustrated when points don't post even after the required 2-5 business days but I
just stay on them. An important thing to remember is to save your confirmation emails. When you request missing points they always want that and sometimes it helps to speed up the process when you attached these confirmation emails to your request for missing points.

birdyy: Hmmm, curious about the still v. again issue. The December offer said it expired on Jan. 15, I think. I've certainly received the garden.com 2,000 points for $25 purchase several different times and, actually, I think I've gotten the more.com points a few different times. I suspect you can only get it once during that promotion???

The FAQs under "shop and earn" say something like shop as much and and often as you want, you'll still get the points.

letiole - I have been using pointclick and personally prefer it to mypoints. There is no hassle about missing points with pointclick. There was a glitch over the weekend and they are promising to correct it. Recently I tracked what I am getting and it seemed to be in the range of 7cents per click, but what is attractive for me is that the work can be done without much effort along with other ativities (by right clicking to open windows which can run in the background). In a week I have accumulated about $40 which by your calculations should have taken me 400 million hours.

Birdyy,

"just another week" is what they told me too when I called. Only, it was a week ago. I believe that eventually the points will post, but it shouldn't take this long (not when it clearly states that "the points will accrue 5 days after the purchase") and this many phone calls...

400 million hours? No wonder I've been feeling so old.
