I remember this but at the time I was not flying much but it always stuck with me. When I started flying a lot that is when I had wished I had been one of those to take advantage of this hehe even if it was never possible from where I lived at the time.

It was such an inspiring story. It made me realize that anything was possible with this goofy set of rules and offers. It inspired me to successfully do a $200,000 mortgage for one day (and pay it right back) for 200,000 UA miles. Cost me around $150.

You have a cool story as well and I guess that may be attractive in today's time with 5/24, etc. But they surely wouldn't cover closing costs like they used to so it would be more expensive and more of a hassle.
