Question: Miles for Cellphone use?
I wonder if its possible to earn bonus miles and useage miles for cellphones? Is it possible to change the long distance company for a cellphone? For example, if I buy sprint pcs plan can I change the long distance company to mci even though sprint itself offers long distance service as part of the service plan.
Please let us know if you are earning miles/points for cellphone/PCS use. Thanks venkat |
Sprint PCS does not permit one to change the LD carrier or plan. NW WorldPerks miles are available for Sprint plans. The easiest way to get miles is to have the usage automatically billed to a credit card.

I'm pretty sure MCI's cellular service gives you miles (on UA at least). Think I saw an ad in Hemispheres or something of the like.

I'm about to sign up for sprint PCS service. I know about the normal 5 miles per dollar, but has anyone gotten a sign-up bonus from sprint?
Thanks Charles |
Charles: 2,500 WorldPerks mile bonus initially; 2,500 more after 6 months on the mileage plan.

Just a warning about the sign on bonus w/
Sprint PCS though... It takes 12 weeks to post them. I signed on 9/28/99, and yet of yesterday my NW Perks account still does not show any posting of the 2500 miles. Called PCS, and they said I will get it on 12/28/99. Been getting the 5 miles per dollars for usage on time. |
I get miles by having LD calls from my cell (AT&T) billed on my MCI bill. I get the usual 5 miles/dollar.
