[EXPIRED] Mega miles for $1 each subscriptions to Barrons and the Wall Street Journal

Doctor of Credit tells us how to receive mega miles for $1 each subscriptions to Barrons and the Wall Street Journal - up to 1,300 miles for American, United, Alaska, Southwest. Subscriptions can be online only. Be sure to mark your calendar to cancel before the end of the subscription to avoid automatic payment of the regular charge. The offers are valid through February 28, 2016.

Does anyone know whether the digital-only options are available outside the US?

I used this this morning on two accounts that needed something to avoid expiration, worked fine on both AA and UAL.

Do you subscribe for this on UA.com? How do you know it worked? do you get miles instantly?

Thanks

On the Advantage portal offers are listed as:

“President’s day sale – Subscribe to WSJ for $1 per week for 12 weeks”
“Subscribe to The Wall Street Journal for just 17 per day! Get 12 weeks for $12!”

Both of these seem to be total of $12

But when checking out at WSJ the offer says “$1 for 3 Months”

Email confirmation reads "Your credit card will be charged $1.00 total for the first 1 quarter of your Wall Street Journal subscription. Thereafter, service will automatically renew and your credit card will be charged $28.99 per 1 Month."

I just signed up for both via AA portal. Anybody know how long before miles post? I know it says "up to..." but any previous experiences?
