I checked my account again, and see that I also got 6000. The account activity was only displaying 5 items of 1000 each, but when I expanded it to view 10 items at a time, there was another 1000. Let's hope this is not a glitch and they won't take them back.

I seem to have gotten 3K myself, though none of them show up in the activity. Not complaining.

I don't think it is linked with status. My wife is just a member but she got 7k as well. I think the time you tweeted could be a factor as both of us tweeted just about 5 mins post the original tweet. However this is a mere speculation and it could just be a random coincidence or even a glitch!
