There was a 1000 points bonus for that on the 1st day only. If you were following marriott insiders you would have seen the post 1 day prior to when they sent out the email. Not that it matters now but it was good to take advantage of that.

One point about this promo that just occurred to me. When I initially signed up to the tweets promo, I was able to use Instagram to get some points straightaway by following some of the hotel brands (GayLords was one, I recall). In that case, those already following the @MarriottRewards account wouldn't be eligible for the 500 points, surely?

Seems to be a max of 125 points(five tweets). Hopefully 125 per day. No separate email confirmation but the points post immediately and @marriottrewards tweets a confirmation.

There seems to be a new one.
You just received Marriott Rewards points for using #MRpoints #StayDC. Tag #StayDC #MRpoints in your social posts between 7/1/16 - 7/3/16 to earn 25 Marriott Rewards points per post (up to a maximum of 125 points total and 25 points per hour)!
