- Perhaps, because the bloggers decided to highlight free points only to mention that you can get even more points after signing up for the credit cards using their links! With such "publicity" free Marriott tweeter points will die much sooner...

Just the 500 for me so far.
Maybe each batch is uploaded according to the time you answered the questions?
So if the Europeans answered a question in the last couple of hours they'll get that 500 last.
I answered the first question straight away but the last two questions the next day (before 11am).

I answered the first question when it came out at 00.30 CET - I stayed up to answer the first question.
Then I thought I have 6 hours to answer the rest so I went to bed and did them first thing in the morning. That doesn't explain why Mr. got 2x 500 while I only got 1x500 (I did both the accounts).
