I wouldn't expect points to post until after May 23, the contest closing date. You can still earn new points if you book flights during the rest of the contest period, and I think AA will want to credit points to everyone at the same time.

My Target Posted Today
They want me to fly 5500 EQPs for the Bonus
Unfortunately, it looks like I will only be flying: LAX-DFW-BWI (O Fare Class), IAD-LAX (N Fare Class). Thats 4740 EQM, but only 2370 EQP.
Did a PLT challenge earlier this year, already over 30K EQP

1200 EQPs for the bonus, showed about 3 days after signup right by the stamp
I'm a total n00b. Never been elite, 3000 miles with AA last year. Have flown 15k in 2014 so far though.
Looks like my pre-booked travel D.C-Alaska will take me over the goal even though it's a discount fare. Plus it'll score 500 extra miles for being a new AA route! 3k extra miles on a deep discount fare for almost double miles! I love getting more for things I'm already doing.

I wonder what do they use to come to this #, as I already have the following trips bought and ticketed prior to this promotion starting:- ORD-CLT-SJU with US air in First class on a 330, that's about 4158 miles
- ORD-LHR-BRU in Business class ticketed, that is 7906 miles
- ORD-SFO-LAX-MIA-YYZ-ORD, (YYZ mistake fare) in coach, 6194 miles
I wont have any problems completing this target.
Can someone beat my target #?

I also noticed that I will complete the bonus section as well. The only part missing is that I wont be flying the US Air Shuttle. Makes me wonder if doing the Shuttle will count for the first 3 of the FLY AND EARN bonus miles, fly US Air and earn 500 miles, fly a new route due to merger and earn 500 miles, fly the Shuttle and earn 500 miles.

2,500 points is my goal. Right now I have DCA-RDU and DCA-CLT-RDU in some .5 EQP earning fare class booked and that's it

Nope. Wouldn't be surprised if it's calculated according to some formula like the greater of (Miles flown by member March 21-May 23 2013)*1.25 or 2500 miles or something. Already booked a one way from DC to Alaska during that period, hopefully it'll be enough to count.
update: Looked through the T&C. Says the goal will post within 10 days of registration, so long as your FB last name matches the one on your AA account.
