Wink 1,000 Free Skymiles For New Customers

Didn't see this posted anywhere so figured I'd post here.

You can earn 1,000 Free SkyMiles for opening an account.

Was originally for seattle hertz customers, but I can confirm it works for anybody (even if you use an address outside the US).

Can't imagine that many here still don't have SkyMiles accounts, but thanks for the info anyway

Hate Delta and have since a bad 2010 flight to Dublin. As a result, I'd let the few miles in my account expire. But 1000 free miles is not a horrible thing so I just opened a new account (since there are no miles in the other account, I don't care about any problems merging; besides, I've long since forgotten the password for the old account), and I'll now have an account with some miles in it if I ever need to transfer some MR points should somehow DL have a flight I need.

Options are always good.

Can SkyPesos be transferred out via points.com? If so, this might be an easy way to score ~100-200 miles in another program needed to reset the expiry clock and extend validity.

Thanks!

I didn't have a Delta SkyPesos account, might be taking some SU flights this summer so a 1000 bonus won't hurt to set up an account now, since the miles never expire under their program now.

Bummer, I thought I could score 1,000 miles for my son's balance (finally paying to fly him somewhere), but enrolling a child requires a special form, etc.; can't go through this enrollment form online.

Same here. Want to enroll DS, but need special form. I didn't have problem with AA, so why DL is making things complicated.....

Skymiles only expire when you do.
