[EXPIRED] 2,000 UR Points for $12 via The WSJ

Currently available in the Chase UR Mall, 2,000 points for signing up for the Wall Street Journal pay by month.

They give you an introductory rate of $12 for 12 weeks digital+print subscription. Terms state the points will post after 45 days, so since this is a 90 day subscription should be able to cancel at 80 days prior to the monthly fee kicking in.

$50 worth of UR points for $12 plus a free WSJ subscription... Giddyup!

2,000 UR Points for $12 via The WSJ

WSJ previously had an AA offer for 1,300 miles for the $1 WSJ trial- 1,300 miles posted, but clawed back when I did not continue my subscription and I know this was the case for most others.

Do you mean that it worked but was a hassle or they revoked the miles? I did this previously with NYTimes and had no issues.

True. I just put a calendar reminder on it today so that I know when to cancel.

I've done similar offers with WSJ (but not thru the UR Mall) and never received the miles. I'll pass.

How does 2,000 UR points=$50?

Bummer... Well I've committed now so I'll be the guinea pig :)

If you need the miles, then you can buy them at $25/1,000 so $50/2,000. I know that there is ways to get 2,000 points cheaper than that, but still if you are close to an award (as I am) and trying to book before the 2/1 United devaluation (as I am) you are willing to pay $50 to get the points to get your award booked

2000 UR points posted two days ago, after a week of signing up. :D for now. Planning to cancel after 8 weeks.

This is great! Just have to remember to cancel if not wanted after promo period. Seems like there's quite a bit these "Opt Out" promos these days. Geesh. Reminds me of rebates because I think many/some forget to follow through and end paying more. Of course, some decide to continue the product offering. This is the game.

Yeah, as long as you don't forget and it's not too much of a hassle I'm stoked. I actually like the WSJ. Don't typically have the time to read it, but its a nice perk in addition to the cheap UR points :)

Yeah, I'd sell a bunch at that price.
