Do you find you're getting all your MyPoints?

I've been spending hours trying to earn MyPoints and today I checked my account statement. I have a measley 630 points. I know I should have more, but I wasn't keeping track of the sites visited at first. And their account statement doesn't list specific places I earned points from. I'm now keeping track, but I still think I'm missing some points. Anyone else have this problem?

Nanook:

They do itemize your account statements. Click on account statement and then underneath it off to the left it will say monthly statement, weekly statement, etc. Click on whichever you'd like to see.

They've been really pretty good about crediting the points I've earned. I don't check to make sure I've received every 10 points that I should have (although they do seem to all be there), but I do check for the larger points - such as when I earn 100 or more. When they have missed something, I've emailed them at [email protected] and they've been quick to take care of it.

Good luck

MyPoints posting has been sporadic in my view. With so many postings, 10 points here, 10 points there, it is very difficult to track if they got everything. One problem I continue to have is that my member key is not always working. I suggest that the first thing you do when you go to the MyPoint site is click on Member Services and refresh your member key. This seems to help.

I agree, it is hard to keep track of each and every 10 points, and it is made even harder by recent changes where they often do not have a pop up window indicating whether or not the operation was successful or not.

I am 0 for 5 in getting the bigger bonuses that I do track. I received three of those, but I had to send them an email with the original offer and the email from the merchant confirming the transaction, and this was way after I should have automatically received them. For the other two I am waiting for 30 days after the transaction, and I suspect that I will have to send them a followup message in a few days.

Also they have not given me double points for the referral bonus, though the web site says that they will be credited by Sept 1. And they still have not consolidated my two accounts (one formerly BonusMail). I have sent them email on both these issues, their response essentially is that I will eventually get those points.

It seems like a lot of work for this program and very sloppy record keeping on their part. But on the bright side I have enough points for 25K AA miles, once they properly credit me.

Agree with the above in general but I'm rather lax in following. Too much effort for too little points and there is no elite staus to be gained or lost!

In contrast, the accounting at Freeride is much quicker and more detailed-each day, amount of points and earning place is shown promptly and in detail, whereas mypoints is cryptic and by week.

pgupta: regarding that little box that sometimes pops up, here is a portion of a message I received this morning from MyPoints:

"Thank you for writing MyPoints Member Care. As we strive to improve the MyPointsProgram the pop-up window that you see when you went to visit a site before will no longer be seen. We have decided to remove it so you can surf easier and more freely. Please visit the following link and read the important notice in the upper left corner:

I'm still not receiving all the miles I know I'm owed, but despite quite a few emails back and forth I'll just go for quantity and hope I'll be credited with 2/3 of what I'm owed.

I too only keep track of the big point transactions (>100 points).

I have found that if I email them with the website's confirmation letters that I do indeed get the points. However, it is a real pain to have to keep emailing them.

I know that I have not always received all the points I am due from MY POINTS. I guess I will just take what I can get! I was also dissapointed when they made Talk City a once a week thing instead of everyday! I had only been doing the polls for a couple days when it changed! DARN! Oh well once again, I will take what I can get! This is a little off the subject but, has anyone tried web bonus miles? I signed up for it quite a while ago, they were still working on getting the program up and running at the time, and I guess they still are. I read on the site that they would be sending out account statements in Sept. but here it is October 2 and still no account statement! Is anyone in the know on this one? You are supposed to get 500 miles for signing up and 250 miles per referral! Sounds like a good deal, I hope this is a good one and not a hoax! Probably just taking a while to get all the bugs worked out! If anyone is interested, check them out and tell them that [email protected] sent you! I could use the 250 referral points or miles. That's Web Bonus Miles. Thanks Everyone! http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I hadn't heard of Web Bonus Miles until I saw your post. It sounds like they're not too organized, or perhaps in financial difficulty. If it ever gets up and running, I'll name you as the referring person.

You are probably right, but a frequent flyer addict can hope, can't she? http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif and Thanks for the refferal in advance!
