Sorry if there is a thread dedicated to this...please move if so.

I purchased 15 $100 physical gift cards on 10/9 for the Sears 16X promo (I have the UA MileagePlus cc). I called that night and made sure all the orders were processed that night (the guy even laughed and said "doing this for the miles huh?"). The transactions posted in my Plink account and I got the points for that. However, I haven't seen anything post/go to pending in my MileagePlus eShopping account.

I was wondering if anyone that did a similar transaction(s) has seen any evidence of the miles posting yet?

i received my 16x miles pretty soon after..although i only got a $50 gc

I placed three orders that went for a combined $900 or so, mostly merchandise, a few gift cards. None of the points have posted, either in my MileagePlus order history or in my UA account.

Sears is terrible of depositing/honoring miles. I would never purchase anything from Sears online via the shopping portal again. If you contact mileageus shopping, Sears will respond that the purchase was not made via the portal.

Got our 16x points for a new freezer and hot water heater. I'm pretty boring.

I order 50*6=300 from united portal for sear physical gift card. Got the for 3600 united points.

But recently Southwest promotion I order 500 physical gift card from sears and none of them got point. The only thing I got point is $50 e-gift certificate from Land end.

Anyone get point from Southwest promotion for sear? Thanks

I've purchased major appliances online for home delivery and the miles posted quickly.

I bought a $500 e-gift card. The 8000 miles have already posted to my UA account.

Bought 20 x $50 Sears eGCs and got the points in UA within a week. The points for purchases using eGCs took another week to post.

I ordered a fridge online last sunday10/27 from Sears. Its not being delivered till today but I was already charged on 10/28/13. Nothing has posted so far thru MP, even though online purchases for Walmart, Overstock and NY&CO all posted within a day or two on both MP shopping and Mileage Plus account.

Is this promo still active? Where can I find more information about this?

No - the big payouts are usually very short lived (a few days). Today Neiman Marcus is 18x (23x if you stack with using a Freedom). That will be done in a few days and hopefully we will all see another very big payout. Biggest Sears I can think of off-hand today is 6x.

I placed 3 separate orders and so far have gotten points for 2 of 3.

Order 1 - $1900 of tablets - points posted
Order 2 - $1200 of tablets - points posted
Order 3 - $400 eGC - points not posted and I don't think they every will :(

The points for my $400 e-gift card order posted. I used the e-gift card to buy $400 worth of stuff the next day and that posted. However, my $1000 physical gift card order has not posted.

since I missed this one is there a way to get an email about these promos ?

and pick the airline as all I would really be interested in would United and Delta,

When will people learn to just video capture your screen for every portal purchase. I'm batting 100% on disputed purchases and "here's the video" shuts down their objections really, really fast.

That's a brilliant idea.

Care to illuminate us as to what software you use to video capture?

I actually started doing a screenshot myself a while back. Hover the pointer over the portal tab so it shows the portal name, with the store in the active tab. Shows portal, store, + time and date. This combined with a receipt has been indisputable evidence whenever I've had problems.

And here I thought GoPro helmit-mounted cams was used by snowboarders, mountain bikers, skiers, and other extreme athletes to give the rest of the the thrill of hucking cliffs and shredding fresh powder.

But you have opened up an entirely new market segment. Now I, too, can experience the thrill of making 21x purchases through the eyes of a manufactured spender.....

What's been the history with Sears and their 16x or XXx? Think it will come back again?

I am still waiting for the $1000 order of physical gift cards to post. Anyone else waiting on theres. My $400 of e-gift cards post within a couple of weeks.

Mine still haven't posted. I probably won't start a dispute until the 60-90 waiting period is over. Very disappointing.

Really wish I had invested in a GoPro prior to this little endeavor! But in all seriousness is there some sort of plug-in I could download that takes a "video" of what is going on on the screen. Would be cool for lots of reasons.

I bought 4 $500 physical GCs from Sears on 10/09. It seemed like it took 7-10 days for the 32K miles to post to my account.

I bought 4 x $500 physical gift cards also; no points yet. They're not even showing up in the My Shopping Account history.

Yep, mine posted within 2 weeks, bought 2K worth GC

Mine posted for $100 gc. Went to Sears and bought a $100 amazon gc no problems! 16X on Amazon woot!

I print to PDF. Right before I click-exit the portal. And the the landing page which shows the full referral link. Then the order completion page.

We have to help Cartera too ( I hear ya). Sometimes the merchant does not acknowledge the link referral. Cartera shows the click and timestamp but this is a two or three link system.

I clean my cookies for that merchant and ensure I am disconnected. Then I log in to say Aadv and search for the merchant and rest as above.

I will research that video capture idea, neat)

Anyone know if the current Delta http://americanexpress.skymilesshopping.com Sears 6X promotion will work with gift cards?

I used to do the screenshots at fixed intervals like that, but sometimes they still said I "did it wrong." Using video (I use "Screen Record Tool" in the mac app store), I've shut them down every single time they've tried to claim that crap... I imagine it catches them off guard too, and I take vast pleasure in what I imagine the Cartera rep's face looks like.

Once you register, for example, on UA's www.mileageplusshopping.com you'll get the occasional email with promo offers, however, it's not all inclusive. If you're looking for a deal, like most of us are this time of the year, the only way to guarantee that you'll catch a promo is to login to the portal daily and see which retailers have that little slash through the bonus miles/points and see the temporary rate increase.
