Potentially cheap rapid rewards points
 

Don't know if this is the correct forum, but southwest is currently running a promotion where you can get 1,200 points when you buy a $100 marriot gift card. Said card would get you about $90 on various gift card buy back sites. Hence, you end up paying $10 for 1,200 points, as well as the spend bonus on the original marriot card purchase.

For some reason, Southwest sent out the email about this promo to many of its members only in the last few days, but this promo has been known about since Aug 13 and this thread in the Southwest forum has been talking about it since then:
