What about this? Can they take away points if you cancel prior to 120 days or charge you?

Nice find. I got an offer for 1500 miles going through AAdvantage shopping. Same 99 cent promo for NY Times. I don't have a special AA credit card, I was actually looking for a cheap way to add some miles to keep my AA miles from expiring.

Note that the terms state:
"When you cancel, you cancel only future charges associated with your subscription...Cancellations are effective the following billing cycle. You will not receive a refund for the current billing cycle...We reserve the right to issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion..."

Thanks for posting this! I just saw the 1400 miles and $0.99 trial offer and signed up. I also just noticed the 1500 mile bonus for the dining program, so these together help get me over point threshold that I needed for a redemption I am hoping to make. ^

For the dining program, be aware that they stipulate in the fine print: "If your frequent flyer...account is...inactive for a period of at least 120 days following the date of a purchase that qualified you for a Reward of Miles...you will forfeit your rights to such Miles..."

OP, I don't think you can cancel the subscription online.
The online account page still directs you to call their customer service for cancellation.
Can you confirm that you did cancel your subscription without calling in?
