is bb/vr worth doing in my case?

i have been following bb and vr for some time now, and i am not sure whether it is worth in my case or not.

i have amex prg, platinum and delta cards. if i primarily fund vr using prg, i will get around 5k amex points for 40$. if i have to start including platinum and delta skymiles then i will need more bb accounts.

so i was not sure whether it is even worth doing if i dont get 5x like ink cards.

what do you guys think?

if paying $0.008/point sounds like a good deal to you, then you should do it. if it does not sound like a good deal to you, then you should not.

if you are close to meeting the 30k annual spend to get the bonus 15K pts then i would do it on the prg card, also if you can find a gas station that will take it to buy the vr's then you can get 2 X and it might get better.
i would set up the bb account anyways in case the vr's get rolled out to supermarkets, this may be an easy way to get 2X on the prg card

Although .008 for MR points is a good deal in anyone's book, you have to also factor in the value he gets out of them and hassle/time involved.

For example if he redeems them for domestic coach and can only buy $500 at a time, it might not be such a great deal.

You officially cannot have more than one account.

1x at CVS. If you find VRs at grocery or gas, it'll be 2x.

From Jan 1 to Dec 31, if you hit $30k spending, you'll get 15k bonus points (effectively making it 1.5x at CVS if you do exactly $30k in a calendar year).

If you are in striking distance of $30K for this year, a CVS run might turn fruitful.

If you can do it at a gas or grocery store, $30K would turn up as 75K MR points. I would obviously spread that spend around to avoid an FR, but the 2x and 15K bonus can be worth it.
