WebBonusMiles up and running?
I dunno if anyone else has checked out WebBonusMiles recently but since my last visit things have changed. They have now announced a list of mileage earning partners such as Amazon.com and CDNOW.

Thanks, Mark...
I got tired of checking it. I'll go back in now. |
Things are looking up. I had written webbonusmiles off as DOA, but they do have some interesting partners (Amazon, OfficeMax, Sharper Image, etc.) In addition, they plan on awarding 2 miles for every dollar spent with the partners and the site suggests that the transfer rate is 1 webbonusmile = 1 FF mile. One problem I see is that you have to e-mail them the invoice from a partner purchase to get the miles. So it appears less automated that ClickRewards. The site also says they will offer access to account status and will be e-mailing people the same starting next month. We'll see.

Yeah, I'd pretty much written it off too. It was looking like another MileNet with whom I managed to clock up 2 SkyMiles!!
There doesn't seem to be any reference to the airline partners anymore, though. The bonus for me is that there is no international restriction as there is for ClickMiles and MyPoints. |
MileKing: I just went back there and clicked on the Member Sign In link and it says:
*Two WebBonusMiles are equal to one air mile. Never mind. |
There is a site www.ebates.com which offers cash back for purchases. For example it offers a 5% cash back for Barnes&Noble and 7% for CDNow. I don't think that they partner with Amazon though.
If you sign up with them, you can give me a referral. My user-id with them is pgupta11. |
Interesting site, pgupta011! If I sign up, I will refer you. Clearly the cash back is worth more than miles in this case.
