All of this for a $116 ticket? I'm missing something. Or it's missing me.

Come on! Miles are life. The rest is just details.

Most of us would probably come out ahead if we took the time and energy we devote to maximizing our FF miles, put it into a job flipping burgers at the local McDonald's, and used the income to buy what we'd lose in awards at full price. So what? It's a fun hobby, it's reasonably harmless, and it keeps us off the streets (if not the airways).

Once I heard that Mileae Plus miles will no longer expire, I have decided to go ahead and switch my flights over to them. Even though I use neiher UA or AA, Im much more likely to use UA.
