Booking an award ticket from SFO to IDA

Hi,

I am planning to visit Yellowstone NP for the labor day weekend.

I have more than 50K+ miles with United, American, and US Air.

I see it's 10,000 miles each way on United. It doesn't look like AA or US Air fly to Idaho Falls.

I just want to confirm booking with United miles is my best option. Are there any promos or special offers, or other partner airlines that I am not aware of?

Thanks.

DL also flies to IDA if that makes a difference for you? It doesn't have a direct from SFO though.

Otherwise, United looks like the way to go

Allegiant flies the route from Oakland with base fares as low as about $50 each way. Depending on how you value miles, it might be better to pay cash with them.

There are several other nearby airports and cash fares don't look very high. May want to think carefully if you really want to use miles.

Wow, most of the tickets are just $50 one way.

But looks like they only fly twice a week. Too bad, the dates won't work for me though.
