SMS/Text usage?

I'm curious if anyone has seen any loyalty programs using sms/text for things like earning points/miles, enrollment, contests, registration for promotions, etc.

I haven't seen anything yet which surprises me. I'm curious to hear what you've seen.

Thanks!

Hilton HHonors had a promo recently which gave you 1000 points for enrolling a Visa card on their site along with your cellphone texting phone number -- they sent you a text containing a unique code which you had to input at the website before they rewarded you with your points. Details can be found in the Hilton forum.

Priority Club had a promo a while back for adding your mobile number. But I get maybe 1 SMS every few months from them.

It seems like most of the chains plus a few airlines are using location-based services (foursquare, facebook check-ins, etc.)

I got two from HH yesterday. One at 2pm... the other at 11:45pm. Thanks for waking me up for an easter flower offer. I replied stop in the morning when I woke up (again). I think once a week at the very most should be their threshold.
