Catman...you know, a certain buddy of yours just happens to have a birthday on August 21st, and I happen to know this friend of yours just loves San Diego and would hop down from Los Angeles for any reason. Why maybe he can even get his girlfriend to take him down there as a birthday gift! Just a thought. Hee,hee, hee http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Rudi: I just happened to pull up this thread as I was posting in the other August itinerary thread.
Ah, Nürnberger Bratwursglöckerl! Your mention of that place brought back some fond memories for me. (One of which was how the Germans used to make fun of the way I said Nürnberger Bratwursglöckerl!) I spent 5 years working for a Munich based German software company, went over for extended visits about 3 times a year, and NB was one of my favorite haunts. I have to ask - are you stopping in Munich just to have lunch there? (If so, bravo, Rudi!) I haven't been back to Munich in six years, but thanks for jogging the pleasant memories. I used to love walking around that part of Munich on a Saturday morning. [This message has been edited by dgolds (edited 07-20-1999).] |

thank you dgolds:
Yes - the real reason for the MUC stop is the Nürnberger Bratwurstglöckerl. No - the official (trip-fiscal-)reason is a meeting with a Munich brewery on Saturday morning (they might join me for lunch). [This message has been edited by Rudi (edited 07-21-1999).] |
So dgolds-I guess you left before the new addition of our most famous American theme restaurant on the plaza accross from the Hofbrauhaus! Though it's not the original, which was destroyed during the war, I thought it truly changed the complexion of the place- not as you might imagine for the better!
|
Rudi: http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif A trip report on your meal would be very much appreciated!
doc:And that theme restaurant would be ...? |
