Rewards programs cheat sheet/infographic

I designed an infographic to help remember which programs have which airlines. Hope somebody else finds this useful because it's important to know which program to focus on.

Great work!

Wow, thanks. That is one sleek graphic.

As this has to do with mile/point earning and redemption, please follow as the thread moves to the MilesBuzz forum. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz.

Thanks for this!

Sorry, I read the rules but thought MilesBuzz was only for bonafide deals and TravelBuzz was for general topics that weren't hot deals. I misinterpreted the read-me.

Ocn Vw 1K Feb 6, 2012 10:58 am

Understood. We were all new members once and FT does take some getting used to because of its richness and size. The forums which end in the word "Buzz" are general forums for the prime topic preceding the word, such as MilesBuzz, DiningBuzz, CommunityBuzz. Plus, we moderators are happy to help members by contacting us off-thread. Now back to the specific topic...... Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz.

That is nice, but it isnt clear there that chase ultimate rewards transfers to united 1:1, looks like 2:1

There's a fairly small note saying the transfer ratios pertain only to Starwood.

HPN-HRL Feb 6, 2012 2:10 pm

Love it - nice job!

One small recommendation - you might want to consider putting an "as of February 2012" notice somewhere on the page (at the bottom? top?). AirTran will be leaving MR at the end of this month (and I'm sure other changes will occur in the various programs).

Nice! I didn't see lufthansa on the spg side. Does mexicana's FF program still exist?

ayodeji13 Feb 7, 2012 12:21 am

Thanksfor this!

Yeah, good point. I won't be able to keep up with the changes quick enough.

Nice catch, apparently these program websites haven't been updated in some time. I just went off what they had and don't pay as much attention is you guys do ^

SPG doesn't have Lufthansa, does it? They sure don't have it on the website.

Flyerfrog i need to THANK you for the message you posted !

Last year when Mexicana broke down i payed for the transfer of all my points to fiestareward... tracking my miles every week but it never showed up.

Reading you message i went to check on fiesta reward and SURPRISE ! all my miles are here posted.

Last year i asked for a transfer of all my miles to fiestareward via the mexicanaGO hotline.

Thanks Flyerfrog and Thanks FT :)

SPG transfers to Lufthansa Miles & More, & it's listed on the website. The chart shows Swiss to be a AMEX MR partner, but it's only for Swiss AMEXs and not for the rest of the world

This is quite a nice transfer diagram. Thanks!

To make it trickier, SPG transfers to many/most airlines at a 1.25x ratio (20k starpoints to 25k miles). And Amex MR often has ~50% bonuses when transferring to BA or DL. Chase has never had a transfer bonus to partners, but I'm not holding my breath on that one :)

Membership Rewards (USA) does not transfer to:

AirTran Airways (left program after merger with WN)
Qantas
South African Airways
SWISS

I do not recognize "MileageManager" as a redemption partner.

Membership Rewards does transfer to a half-dozen hotel programs which are not listed.

It looks as if you used this link:

...but the correct link is here:

Starwood transfers to Amtrak.

In this changing world of reward programs, I'm not sure how useful a nearly four-year-old document would be.

I have this one bookmarked: http://i.imgur.com/GBQ5MwV.jpg

sdsearch Mar 16, 2016 7:53 pm

It seems complex to maintain it as a graphic. It would seem simpler to maintain in it as a few simple charts in a wikipost added to this thread, no? Then it would be easy for most FlyerTalk members (one with sufficient history to edit FT wikiposts) to edit as needed.

And just think of all the changes that will be needed if the merger of Starwood with Marriott goes through and/or if BMO/Harris reopens applications for Diners Club (which has its own Club Rewards program) again.
