I have read an article today saying that Air France will announce an expanded alliance with Delta next week. So I guess we can count them out of WINGS...

Omni: I was just 'surfing' the NWA web site and came across a link entitled "WINGS". I clicked on it, and it brought up the following (which has nothing to do with the Wings alliance that we are talking about here):

WINGS is a comprehensive Northwest Airlines program designed to calm the nerves of anxious flyers. Presented by a team of aviation professionals, flight crew members and behavioral experts. Since its inception in 1995, the Northwest WINGS seminar has helped 90% of its participants manage their anxiety and overcome their fear of flying. Seminars meet Friday evenings 6 - 9 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Sunday 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Cost is $450. The WINGS graduation flight is typically one hour long and is on a regularly scheduled flight with other Northwest customers.

Well, I sure hope that the proposed Alliance, also called Wings, calms the nerves of us anxious frequent flyers still waiting for the announcement of this program!
