Marriott often offers double or triple points for "meetings." You should find out if there are any point bonus offers like this. A wedding may qualify.

Right now they offer a triple points promo on meetings-events, but I don't know whether it is targeted to Preferred members or not!!

50K if you split it to 3 events and use the promo will yield about 450K plus 250K points if you pay with the MR Visa!! Additionally you will get 30 eligible nights towards status!!

700K points would worth around $7000 valued VERY conservatively at 1c/point!!

You could use a Southwest Visa and earn double points...that's like a 3.3% rebate.

Please be careful not to overspend just to get more points. There is always a subconscious bias and a resultant tendency to spend more to get more point. Even if you were to get 5% reward, you might still spend 95% additional. All the best for the wedding.
