So what is everybody going to do with there paperweight?
I did a refuse shipment today for 2 items at work. Had a FEDEX slip on my door at home. and got one cancellation? Is writing a reply letter to the 5000 offer what most are doing?

no email yet
still no email that others are getting from Cartera Commerce ..
oh well ..who cares.. regardless if I get the 2500 miles and the additional 2500 for a purchase email or not...it was all fun in the end to participate in this..
Been thinking of keeping one of the hockey pucks as a door stop just for the conversation aspect of it!

I think the best way to fight for miles later is to accept and effectively keep the items bought. One could always sell them on Ebay and then in the minds of Verizon and AA, you did in fact BUY and KEEP them. Once you have them you can do what you want with them so if you sell them on ebay that's fine. You will probably make most of your money back and then you still have a case to claim miles. If you refuse them you are returning them and/or giving up.
I think the ads and big mileage gains drove otherwise non-existent traffic to the AA mall and to Verizon. Even people who did not get into these offers but heard about them probably went to both sites to look and may have ended up buying something else anyway. Thus, I think this gives both those companies something that earns them money. And they should pay something for that. If they used us to make this chain happen, they ought to pay us. I'll take 83,871 miles x 46 please! TYVM

Now that's one of the best ideas I've seen in this thread! Glittergate FT luggage tags!

I don't know why anyone is refusing delivery or sending the products back. If you do that, it would seem you give up all claim to miles or any alternate settlement @:-). I'm holding onto my stuff until this plays out further.
