The buy now link did not lead to the product page on verizon for me tho. Hopefully it works for some of you.

4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi™ 4510L $29.98

4G LTE USB Modem 551L $9.98

Home Phone Connect $29.98

They may have required service plans. The page did not say.
I got the dead link as well.

I'm very, very intrigued, and for the $9.98 USB modem, even more likely to go in.

But I do caution everyone about the truly abysmal customer service problems over at AA Shopping:

I personally have never had a problem getting the correct miles for my purchases, and relatively quickly too, save for the promos. But for people who do have problems, apparently these guys just have awful customer service. I'm in the camp that thinks there's no way these miles will post without some customer service interaction.

Can't wait to see the fits everyone have when:

1. Their order gets cancelled

2. They wait two months, the 83k points are never posted, and it's too late to return the headset or file a claim with AMEX

3. They do get points, however it's only 13

It's certainly no way.

Well, that USB modem doesn't seem to be in stock, actually. Or even exist on Verizon's website.

Funny enough, if you search on "83871" you actually get a Dr. Bronner's soap. Weird.

Finally, any chance AA would look at their server logs, and see that someone has clicked the "product details" button? Just in case, I'd caution anyone to NOT click that when logged in.

Gotta try it, just for fun! One for me and one for Mrs. PedroNY.

Cheers!

Search for "'Touchstone Standalone Inductive Desktop Charger." It's only $4.97 with the same number of miles. Much lower risk.

"Sorry sir, after examining our server logs we've determined you clicked on the product details button and thus will receive 13 points."

WTH, in for 3

I decided to follow my FT mantra of act now think later. I don't see them honoring this, at least not without a fight. But I'm in for 3 using my Delta AMEX. What's the risk? $90. OK.

Good find.

Bought 20 of them. Fully expect my 1,677,420 AA miles for a purchase of $99.40.

No balls, no baby

Or nothing ventured, nothing gained. I'm in for one. Worse case scenario, I've dropped too much for a headset I didn't need but can probably gift. I've dropped more at disappointing State Fair purchases.

Better case scenario, AA & Verizon realize the error but to avoid a bunch of irate customers offers a nice chunk of miles to placate us all.

Best case scenario, they take their lumps and I get the whole enchilada. Really not much of a downside here.

No risk if you buy with an Amex w/ return protection.
