A very U.S.-centric viewpoint. There are over a dozen major airlines (and many minor ones) that fly into Cuba and have been for years.

The problem is not mileage programs to Cuba. The problem is that if you're a US citizen it is not legal yet for you to go Cuba on your own as a tourist. (Only travel for certain very specific purposes is allowed.)

If you're a citizen of another country which allows private toursit travel to Cuba, there are mileage programs that can take you there, and have been for a while.

(And, btw, if you look back a page or two, you'll that this was already asked and answered at least once before in this thread.)

However, this law has no teeth since they now allow self-certification.

North Korea (FNJ) is reachable by miles on Air China, been there, done that.

Speaking of countries that are unreachable by miles, try Venezuela. Let me know if anyone manage to find a single available ticket using miles.

But can't a guy fly Kenya Airways NBO-TNR, bookable with Skymiles? Or Flying Blue, CDG-TNR? I know UA miles don't work for JNB-TNR.

Hu? Plenty of tickets available, United flies there itself... Should be bookable with miles from any *A FFP? Just searched with united and there's plenty availability.

IAH-CCS
PTY-CCS
BOG-CCS

Probably more...

Travel expenses to Antarctica (and anywhere else in the world) can be reimbursed through Capital One and Barclay's Arrival cards as long as you have enough points.

I wish one day we can do the same with outer space travel.

I tried to book a trip to Atlantis using my miles, but none of the major alliances could get me there

This thread is about countries - Atlantis is a continent. (No awards to Antarctica either.)

They are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Australia is both a continent and a country.
